Since we couldn't attend the SEMA Show this year I relied on drifting.com to keep us updated for what's going on in 2009. Japan's D1GP will be returning to the US in collaboration with Driven Events and Team Falken announces their 2009 Driver Lineup Tyler McQuarrie and Daijiro Yoshihara will be joining Calvin Wan, Vaughn Gittin Jr, and Darren McNamara. Since the Falken lineup has changed a little I found a video clip to pay tribute to the 2008 Falken Drift Team.

Anyways, a couple weeks ago I was driving to Sandy Beach and noticed all different types of classic hot rods on the road, but I didn't think anything of it just thought it was a afternoon cruise. On the way back from my beach session, I noticed car show signs posted on the side of the road and decided I'd check it out and see what's going on. Napa Autoparts sponsored the 1st Annual Classic Car Show in the parking lot of the Hawaii Kai Town Center and I must say there were a lot of head turning rides! Here's a sneek peek at some of my picks of the day
These were my two picks for the best of show, although
I've never saw these rides on the street like the rides below.....
This V8 Bug is a sight to see and hear on the street. I've seen this car around town a number of times and I have to say it's the craziest Bug I've seen on the street!! The Skyline belongs to a familiar name in the Green Bottle family with the last name being Wong. Professional drifter Barry Wong's dad was one of the fortunate ones to purchase the new GTR.
